Introduce yourself before posting anything!

Recently there have been a bunch of new people joining GameSalad and start straight away with a stupid question. This really annoys me! I think that the sous chefs need to keep a serious eye out for these people. Either it's the same person with multiple accounts or just thieves and spammers.
People will take you more seriously if you just say a basic thing like, hello I'm bla bla, etc... not being a one post wonder "I need logo" "how do you make platformer" and thats it, never to be heard of again.

We can see how many posts people post on the forums and those with between 1 - 10 posts, don't waste too much time on them. Quick short answers that it.
If you want to be taken seriously then treat this forum more serious.

1. Introduce yourself
2. Make a profile pic
3. When asking something, be clear about it
4. If English is not your first language, say so

While I understand what you're saying, I'm not sure that helping those newer folks with no profile picture or who only have 10 posts is a waste of time. I totally agree with you about things like logos, art, etc. Users shouldn't expect someone to make them a full game or full game art, but if a new user asks a simple question, then we should be able to answer it. We all start out with 0 posts in the beginning, and we advance from there. True, some users ask one question and we never hear from them again, maybe game development just isn't their thing. I think we all asked 'easy' or 'dumb' questions when we first started using GameSalad, right? That's because we didn't understand the engine or it's limits. If no one took the time to answer my first few dumb questions, chances are I wouldn't be where I am today.

Starting an introduction thread can help, but it's not required. I didn't post an introduction thread until I had been using GameSalad for a few months. And even then, no one posted on the thread. There are some great users here on GameSalad that haven't uploaded a profile picture.

All of that to say if we can help the newer folks, let's do that. If it's pointing them to a video tutorial, typing out a quick explanation or creating a simple project file, then I don't see an issue doing so. I'm not trying to get on your case, just some food for thought. You're a great user who helps a lot on the forums, and I know it can be frustrating sometimes, but you're making a difference. Keep it up! :)

I didn't word it properly myself. I don't mean stupid questions as in asking for help as a newbie. Perhaps stupid is the wrong word in what I'm trying to say. I mean those who ask something like for example, how do you run? That doesn't explain anything. In order for someone to help you, try to give an example of what you are trying to accomplish.

Also couple of people in my free logo thing ask for one but when you check their profile they only ever posted that one thing.

Whats also annoying is that I create these logos for certain GS peeps and when I check mediafire, more than one person is downloading these logos. The one I did before for iceberg games had over 100 downloads. I don't think thats fair on him when it was designed for him only.

All I'm saying is that there are people here that are after something other than trying to create their game.
