JSON integration ideas

Im was hoping we can start a thread about the uses of the new JSON integration. I think it will bring GameSalad to the next level, but would like to see what ideas others have for this feature. And how to implement it.

If you think that this will bring GS to the next level maybe you could elaborate in regards to why you think so and what you think you would use this for yourself.

Personally I think the JSON addition is something that a very very small percentage of the GS users would use since it goes against the main idea of GS - game creation for everyone with no coding required.

Well this is why I'm after input. I'm no coder, but from what I understand, we can populate tables remotely using this method. There are json editors/components out there that can produce json files without you knowing code. The json files I've seen are just table data written in a code format.

So why are GS adding json? What examples can they and others offer to get us thinking about how we can utilise with form of remote communication.

I can try and set up my turn based MMORPG idea I've had since 2006 in another development environment on my own, and give up again after a month or so! Bring it!

I'm sure it can be quite useful though. I imagined it would be good for saving a game on your device and then continuing the same game on another device or computer using online login accounts.

That's an interesting idea. Though it would probably be better if the GS team would implement the existing "cloud" functions of IOS instead in order to get native support for cloud-based saving.
