Cant believe it that someone took our app Rescue Aliens and renamed it and uploaded it to all sorts of Android stores. Still in shock :(

How do you deal with such scamsters?

Dont have any experience with this but feel really bad for you!! Maybe you can sue them? this is why iOS is safer.

I am not sure how can the scamster manage to use a similar package declaration as ours. It says he has already got 250+ downloads. Thats sucks bigtime :(

    Have reported it now.

Usually I handle it best when I crush my enemies, see them driven before me and hear the lamentations of the women...but that's just how I'd handle it.

Interesting - and such a shame - there is more and more of this happening - artwork being appropriated - stolen, not even inspiration - clear theft. And then this. Why bother going to all that work making a new game with somebody else's artwork when you can just use the whole game? Mental! I hope these people learn but I bet they will just move on to their next victim under some other handle. X(

Its a big gamble in trying to keep the best possible artwork on the web for customers to view, Which also allows these leechers to steal your hard work.
Google's cancellation policy seems to be a bit problematic as well. Since it appears people can somehow manage to save the apk after a cancellation, not sure how its done, but it seems possible.

Submit a DMCA complaint and by law they have to take it down.

@matarua well that game has the art work done by him. so its different because in this case they took @zoope 's exact work.

Google Play has a neat way of reporting copyright issues. It appears to have been actioned. However a well known cross advertiser is still hosting content inspite of reporting the issue. At least that app is not going to be found anymore.

Excellent yes Apk packages are not the most secure. Glad you were able to stop the bleeding.
