I havent been noticing very many new gamesalad games coming out lately and would just like to know is Gamesalad slowly dying? Or are there games being published that dont get shown on this site?

They just aren't updating it. GS is DEFINITELY alive and well =)

I would think most are striving to publish to iPhone/iPad and may be a little protective and also busy creating it to a certain platform than for the site itself. In itself there are tons of games being made, but not going to the site.

Edit - Oh I get what your saying - thought you meant games by others to this site not from GS themselves! Well I'd rather they be busy getting a new update with a PAUSE feature (Here's winking at you QS ;) then new games from GS.

Ok yea I'd just like to know if there are more games being made for the iphone with gamesalad than the ones that show up on this site because there doesnt seem to be very many new games being made. =)

Like The Shirt said there are a lot that dont even use the forums but, just scroll through the last few days to get a sample of how many games there are.

When i go to something like touch arcade and look at the forums and new games i swear i recognize half the Devs from here

Two of our users are even "featured" on the ipad app store
along with a GS game or two popping up on new and note worthy for the iphone as well every week

I don't like the way Gendai Games / GameSalad handles web games. It seems that the App Store is the priority, but that market is ultra competitive. Without advertisement support in GameSalad games, that means I have to sell my games. But when there are so many games already on the App Store, it's hard to get noticed.

Before GameSalad, I did some iPhone development. I basically realized that I made more money on Android and that advertisement based games were more successful.

So... GameSalad... doesn't have Android support or ad support... or decent web browser support. It seems that the main focus is making apps for the iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch. Plus, if I make a web game, I don't want it on the GameSalad website. It's the same scenario... even if there was some sort of revenue sharing, there are other games to compete against. I'd rather build up my own Internet arcade.

@Photics: What if you upload your game to the GS website, make it availalble to play to all, grab the embed link for it and place that link on your website, and then make the game not playable to all. I think the embed play may still work since it just references a version of the game on the Amazon cloud storage service. Worth a try.

I think the problem on embedding the code to play on ur site could work, but this only runs on safari mac and our windows friends will not appreciate u promoting ur game and they play it...might be bad on sales/reviews.

and from recent post here and on twitter, GS still alive and well and I think rarely anybody is posting about their games because they are working on their next big one.

    but if you're interested: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=5655

    cheers :~)

i dont even look at gendai as having webgames for gamers

unless they categorize it in the future and weed out the half finished and demos

its also too much work to resize just for a webversion IMO

iphone gets stretched and ipad wont publish

certainly doesnt bother me though, cant beat GS for this style of iphone publshing

In their defense people dont come to GS to play games
they came because they googled "iphone creator" or something to that effect

If anyone is like me, then they might have multiple games on go at one time. This may slow down the development process but every so every so often you will get a spurt of new games.

Also, the bigger companies have got their act together and are producing bigger and better games each time. Each game we create needs more polish in order to get noticed... Gone are the days of a quick 5 level bit of fun for 59p... now people expect a lot more for their dollar!

@Kirk... You wouldn't have a game out would you? You wouldn't happen to have a link to it anywhere ;)

Regarding web games, it would be good if there was support for other browsers like Firefox, IE, Chrome, instead of just Safari...
