Actor stops moving alone

in Working with GS (Mac)
By pressing "left" my hero walks linear velocity.
After a few seconds it starts to slow to a stop.
Anyone know how to solve my problem?

    check the physics. i think maybe having friction on could have something to do with it. pictures would help though.

    edit: try changing friction to 0 on the actor and the actors platform.

    and explain more on what you want you character to do... just walk forever after you press left?
