Went from Windows to Mac and stuff went down..

I recently uploaded the final version of my project to GameSalad from my PC, where I developed it. I now downloaded the project on a mac just to publish it on the App Store but it turns out that some stuff got screwed up. Whenever I preview it on the mac, some of the stuff just doesn't work properly. It works perfectly on the PC version and the only thing I need to do is to get THAT version up on the app store and not the funky version that results from me opening it with my mac. What can I do? It took me a very long time to finish this and starting over on a mac isn't an option :s

are you using tables in your project? there was a bug fixed in 10.2/3 on the mac that doesn't allow you to reference a column or row with a value of 0, which incorrectly worked in 10.1. that caused a lot of problems in mac projects

Sadly no. There are no tables in this project.

Any suggestions on what I can do? Maybe version 10.3 will be coming out for windows anytime soon so I can publish it from there?

The same thing happened to me a while back. Mac does not use the same coding style which is unfortunate because it basically means that both you and I wasted a bunch of our time.

Now there are three options for you.

    1. On the mac you are transferring to find the issue in the code and swap it for code that works on the mac. It wont matter if you can publish from PC either because if you have issues on a mac you will have issues on the iphone.

    2. If you can't find the issue in the code. Start over and code from a mac. this is the only way to make sure the time you put in testing will work on an iphone.

    3. If you don't have a mac or a mac that is fast enough to run the poorly optimized GS software. Learn to code with out GS. your games/apps will be better and you wont be limited by GS's slow development.

Does the "Save Attribute" behavior work the same on Mac and PC?

hey, I had to go from gamesalad windows, to mac, I couldn't have more than 5 scenes or GS crashes. Exported to mac, the bugs I had were some buttons didn't work, or my timers were wrong etc, look on youtube if you're having problems there's so much there, move the attributes like "change scene" to the top of actors attributes etc,
Play with GS, you'll figure it out, Good
    luck.
