iOS 7 Game Crashing

Hello My game is crashing on iOS 7 is there anything you need to add to stop that from happening please let me know

It is not supported by GameSalad yet - they are working on it now but as you are using an engine - you should be very aware of the targeted version of OS on each platform.

You alway should be targeting the official IOS. iOS 7 is a beta and it's not even in it's final version yet. Worry about it when it's released in October. Once released Gamesald will have it completely implimented and release their version of GS to support it.

I disagree that you should only target the released version of the OS, and not worry about preparing your apps and games for the new version!

However I do understand that we don't have that option with GameSalad until the team have done what they need to do and released a new version.

@kevincross my post is in relation to GS. If you have control of your code then yes of course. This is GS we're talking about and there is nothing you can do about it with GS as it's a logic environment not a language environment. Come on dude you know what I meant.

Like I said I understand that you can't worry about future versions of iOS with GameSalad as it's out of our control. I'm not even complaining that you can't run GameSalad games on it yet. I myself have been far too lazy to install and look at the new OS, so not that bothered.

I expect we're going to see a lot more posts like this where developers are wanting to prepare their games/apps to minimise downtime for when the new iOS is released.

I have two games in development at the moment - one a multi-level and moderately complicated one, and that crashes consistently. The other is a simple one where all the action takes place on a couple of scenes and very few of GSs features are really used. That one doesn't crash at all. So there is probably one (or more) specific features that are causing the crashes. That doesn't help us much, since if we used those features we almost certainly need those features, but still

I imagine GS will have it all figured out as they have said they are working on it. They get the new ios7 builds the sametime we do. I'm sure they will have iOS 7 support ready before it's released. Plus there will be nothing we will need to do other than publish an update of our games. What could you possibly have to change? GS either works or it doesn't. Pretty simple.

on top of that, they have said they didn't want to spend all this time making GS work with beta 1 just to have beta 2 break everything. For their position, it makes much more sense to work on this as the betas get more solid towards release.

I have a woking build (still needs QA) with the last iOS 7 beta that I am hoping to get into the nightly builds next week.

Hello as the official date for iOS 7 is now 18 is there going to be a build which could support iOS 7 as my current game crashes on iOS
