No zoom on complex joystick.

I want to scale a joystick from the free controls template that comes with the mac version of GS. ive turned it into a multiplayer game and ID like to incorperate a zoom to the game. a zoom out to be specific, so at a certain speed more of the map can be seen.
My problem exactly is that , because i didnt make the joysticks, Im not sure what the mile long constrain Positions really means.
