controlling camera

in Working with GS (Mac)
hi, i have a spaceship that gets dragged around and i have control camera. the spaceship is draggable and i drag it around but when its controlling the camera, it slows it down a lot. and my mouse is on it then the mouse keeps going trying to move it but the spaceship gets stuck. i tried letting go and dragging again but when i tried to drag again the spaceship moved to where i started and it keeps doing this. Also it turns in the direction of the mouse and it is super crazy. PLEASE HELP!
