Made it yesterday, got loads of game ideas for it already so fingers crossed something good comes from it.

ATM it only has walls, non movable and movable blocks and is set up so you can only push a block if theres nothing behind it.

I started making an iOS game with a friend about 4 years ago that used a game mechanic like this - funny that it has similar characters to my current game #memories

Nice one - perhaps I could start it up again!

Here is something my son (23) used to play a lot as a kid. I just asked him for the name because I forgot. @Darren It has pushing blocks and water so I guess you are done ;)

    Great work so far! :)

Reminds me a lot of Corrypt, which was released around half a year ago: http://mightyvision.blogspot.de/2012/12/corrypt.html
It's free for pc and mac (and it's fantastic and very hard), you could check it out to get some inspiration.

    Cheers!

Remember 'Pengo' 80's game with the popcorn music. Reminded me of that. Just add Penguins and Bee's :)

Nicely done, Darren. :-) Also, while in the spirit of people mentioning block-pushing games, there's another one from the past I remember, either from the late '80's or early 90's, on the Mac, where a little man, top-down, pushes crates to a holding bay each level. Can't remember what it was called, although it had a Japanese-sounding, one-word name... (might have started with a "P"...) I'm sure you're thrilled with that information...

The link I posted gives you a PC version. Works well in Wine for example on the Mac.

Cool one Darren :) Instantly reminded me of "Puzzle Dozer" which in my opinion is one of the best GS games ever made.

I found another free Pengo clone: http://retrospec.sgn.net/games/penguins/
Perhaps you can get some inspiration there.

Graphics look awesome. The subtle grid is very nice.

We've been talking about a few things today and have some interesting ideas for a game or 2.

I'm busy making a few of the older templates universal atm.
