Just a cautionary note.

Once again someone who was offering services was caught trying to trick people. Always be cautious when hiring anyone online. If it sounds to good to be true, it is! If you need service there are plenty of reputable people and business with solid reputations. These are responsible people who take your needs seriously and will deliver quality products and services. Those of you who think you're going to come on these forums and try and misrepresent yourselves be ware. Us veterans watch for this like hawks and we all are old enough to have a bullsh1t detector. We will call you out on it like it or not. We built this community with care and hard work and we're not going to let you ruin it with your shady ethics and behavior. I encourage people, when you're screwed by a user exposé them so they can't screw anyone else.

    @FryingBaconStudios

Well put, Dave; a timely warning, especially for those with not much experience in using third party services.

But really, if you don't know them, and don't know anyone who know them, see they joined only last week, offering a service that is too good to be true, does not say what age, does not have other websites or profiles to show of certain work, have someone who makes thier first post commenting how good the service is, claims to know how to use GS but recently asks basic questions, then maybe they shouldn't even be making games cause the world going to eat them up.

I mean the signs were there, but then again some people are pretty sneaky.
    Good post

I and others take a lot of heat around here when we call people out. But the learned know the old saying "me does think though does protest too much." Us older people have more experience dealing with humans. We know how to read people and have seen all the tricks. Some people think they are clever but their not. They haven't yet learned you can't bullsh1t a bullsh1ter. Sorry you're not smarter than the average bear. LOL

@matarua in case you didn't know I'm dyslexic so errors like this will be common in my written stuff. Not everyone has a perfect brain out here. Be mindful when offering corrections like this. I don't need the grammar police but a better brain.

Now I can stay here peacefully for a long time. :)>-
    Thanks @FryingBaconStudios

Yeah that was quite an orchestration wasn't it. My sides were hurting from laughter after our Line cooks and Sous brought that to a screeching halt.

I think everyone supports the calling out of people who are trying to pull a fast one. It's more the way you do it that can be questionable (and deeply patronising at times).

@FryingBaconStudios oh - I did not, and I know what that is like so I understand. But it was only so you didn't have a typo in a sentence where you're talking about how clever people are, or are not. It was to help you out. Be mindful of that please.

Patronizing is far from my personnel beliefs. I believe everyone can achieve and has the capacity for greatness. But yes I have little tollerence for those who pull stunts like what happened. We see this over and over there was one user whom it seemed had a different business service every month. Just this week there have been four threads closed for suspect services or straight out begging for money. The mods have done a great job clamping this down. Do things legit and straightforward and you have no problem with me. Play it fast and loose and I'm going call it out.

You may want to examine your post history then. You are the single least helpful and most elitist person on these forums, yet you consider yourself the very axis around which this community rotates.

    This escalated quickly...

Whatever negative traits any of us have (in the sense of writing in the Forums), we have all been – @FryingBaconStudios included – helpful at some time or other (remember @FryingBaconStudios 1 minute tutorials/help videos, etc?).

I agree it's not what you say but how you say it though; sometimes posts can appear bullying, patronising or unfriendly, albeit from the minority... something we all have to be aware of.

Perhaps :-? the use of more emoticons :)] :-\" B-) would help to soften :o3 ~:> :-* some posts.... (Just trying to lighten the mood...) ;-) :bz

I think this thread has run its course now and in danger of escalating even more, so I'm going to close it.
