hi guys just another issue im having i have created a piece of artwork and put it into the setup window and tiled it like tshirtbooth did in his recipe vids and i have pulled it along to make it tile 3 blocks long but when i go to preview it its 3 and a half blocks how can i fix this thanks in advance
Instead of dragging the size, put in a numeric value for it's size that is 3 times it's normal width. So if your block were 10 pixels wide, manually type in 30 pixels instead and see if that works correctly for you.
Well you only have two choices for collision boxes in GS, right now you must have Rectangle picked. You could try choosing Circle and see if that gives you the effect you want. In the specific case you show in the image with Circle picked your character would probably fall off the edge and not hang like that. But picking circle will effect other things like collisions with enemies as well so you'd just have to test it out and see what works best for you and what you can and can't live with.
thanks unfortunately the character is not mine i got it from one of tshirtbooths tuts im a real noob here but where do i find the rectangle or circle thing you talking about
duh im a real noob i didnt realize that you are jamie cross "> im busy watching ur tuts on you tube aswell hahahahaha im learning so much from you thanks do u think i could rack your brains when i have a ques
It's under Physics in your actors, look for Collision Shape.
I think you have your tutorials confused, that character is from some that I have done, and from a small art pack I give away on my website. That's why I had to comment.
im just using it to mess around with at the moment i hope you dont mind i dont plan on publishing it i just suck at 2D graphics so a frind of mine is busy greating me a whole lot
im sure u can answer all my ques ur amazing with your development could i possibly send you my file once ive worked on it and get you to test it and tell me where i went wrong and how to fix it

I appreciate the kind words but I certainly don't know it all, LOL!
I'm don't think I'll be able to trouble shoot your actual files for you, fortunately (unfortunately??) I have a full time job that keeps me pretty busy. But if you can come up with specific questions I'll be happy to help with answers when I know them.
hi jamie tell me how would i make it look like i have bubbles floating in my underwater scene i have the png and have it set as an actor where do i go from there
Hi @pheonix30, I used particles to create a bubble kind of effect here:
It's green bubbles rising up out of the green toxic waste. So I'd use your bubble image as the image of a particle effect and adjust the settings to match how you want your bubbles to move.
@pheonix30, the particles from the video above are attached to this post. Feel free to use them as is or adjust to your specific needs. Particles can take a lot of tweaking to get just right so don't be afraid to play with all the settings and see what other effects you can get.
