Would this be possible using GameSalad?

I am new to designing games as a whole and I have thought of a concept I like and was wondering if it could be made using Gamesalad:

Basically in the game the player will control a cannon with the mouse and clicking when they want to fire, there will be a tower in each level made (mainly) of Red blocks, when a Red block is hit by a cannonball it will be destroyed. In GameSalad would it be possible to cause other parts of the tower to fall because a block underneath it has been destroyed the way it would in games like Totem Destroyer or Angry Birds? I would also want to add a few different powerups for example something that allows a cannonball to destroy multiple blocks in one hit or causes the cannonball to bounce off several blocks/surfaces before dissapearing on impact of the third or fourth block/surface rather than the first as usual. An exploding cannonball that would destroy all blocks in range is also an idea I am considering.

Would it also be possible to change the objectives of levels so that for example there was a green block in the tower that has to touch the ground to progress to the next level but cannot be hit by the cannonball or the level will end? Or in another case a certain line that all red blocks must be under by taking out certain parts of the tower before progressing to the next level? I would also like to be able to create other types of blocks that would require multiple cannonball hits before breaking or blocks that can move up and down to act as moving barriers making it difficult for players to hit the part of the tower behind it that they are aiming for.

The game is currently just a concept so knowing which of these mechanisms would and would not be possible would be useful right now. If I can get a successful prototype working with 10-15 levels I will probably start working on my own art style to make the game more visually appealing than just coloured blocks getting blasted down. I will also most likely come up with new ideas for blocks, obstacles and powerups as I go and learn more about GameSalad and it's capabilities.

Thanks for reading guys, I hope this all actually made sense.

Any feedback, advice or criticisms would be appreciated.

You could certainly create that exact sort of game. Using the built in physics, and all the classic GameSalad tools.

Read lots of the help and tutoruals, learn from examples and you'll soon be on your way to making the game you have in your mind.

Thanks! I'm thinking if this goes well I'll move onto more complex games with more complex mechanics etc as I had a few ideas but this one seemed to be the easiest one to actually execute.

The basic core of what you want entirely describes one of the free example game demos that are included with GameSalad. I would highly highly highly suggest you spend some time learning GameSalad before diving straight into your game. Also please do yourself a favor and follow the last part of your post where you talk about adding tons of new original stuff to the base game concept. People have actually submitted the free demo as apps before but you can pretty well rest assured they wasted their time.

    Good Luck!!!

Yeah I wouldn't be interested in a reskin of an existing demo as it wouldn't really feel like I had actually achieved anything. I was considering trying a few small things before I jump in, it probably makes sense to learn the software before I try too much too soon.
