Apple's Media Event, Who's EXCITED???

Today at 10:00 AM Pacific Time Apple will be kicking off their Media Event which will be held at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California.

The event is expected to talk about the 5c which would be a cheaper model with a plastic back and come in different colors. The 5s will look pretty much the same as the 5 but possibly come in white, black, champagne gold, & a lighter shade of grey. Upgraded hardware with an A7 chip which will be about 33% faster than the current A6 chip. An improved camera with a dual-LED flash. Lastly, a finger print scanner which would be where the home button is and be used for security authentication. The fingerprint sensor could potentially be used for phone navigation as well. Combined with Apple's new iCloud password manager, logging in to all your sites and services could be as simple as swiping your thumb over your phone.

What are you'r thoughts and opinions and do you think think they will have that "One More Thing"?

5C? plastic? haha what im picturing is horrible but im sure apples designers know what they are doing...but i would never buy that haha

It's not plastic, it'll be a polycarbinate, just like the iPhone 3G/3Gs, older iPod Touches, original macbooks.

Seriously, other than what's been rumoured, I've no idea what the "One More Thing" will be... unless they're going to make iThing... :P

I'm hoping for a new OS for the AppleTV. the existing one is so cluttered.

I also want apps to come to the AppleTV. That would be awesome

The 5c "might" be interesting depending on price, watched the news this morning and apple is falling a long way behind other companies with market share...if the 5c is around the £200 mark (wishful thinking lol) it could be good.

Does anyone with more tech knowledge than me have thoughts on whether iOS7 and 64-bit architecture will play nice with GameSalad? How much tweaking will we have to do on existing apps?

64 bit iOS for the 5S is impressive... I wonder how far the others are behind in matching that... weeks?... months? over a year?

@fogarty It's likely to take a while until we get any use of it. But I don't think we need to do anything for our projects. GS just needs to implement it.

@fogarty It's nothing you will have to worry about. It's GameSalad's responsibility to keep GameSalad running and compatible on the new system architecture. You will just use GS to build and deploy your apps. If there is any new changes that Apple needs from you as a developer, it will arrive in an email linking to the iOS developer resources.

Why is that bad? If you want to buy it off contract, you pay for the tech. If you don't think it's a good deal for what you NEED it for, then you don't buy it.

It means the price is like 500 euros here in Finland and probably in other European countries, which is in my opinion quite a lot.
