Dragging and Dropping Actor when Dragging through Scene?

Hello--
I've been searching online through Google and through these forums trying to see if I could come up with a solution to this problem but can't seem to find anything that addresses this issue. So I'll try to explain it best I can.
So I have a large map I have actors on a large large map that roam around on their own (using this AI method: ). So that works fine--they move around and stuff.
And then, to drag the camera around the map, I've set it up so where the user touches and drags with their finger, they can explore and move around the map. Hope that makes sense? Simply put: you can drag the screen around to move around the map. (I used this tutorial, setting it for scrolling on both the x and y axis: ). That works well too.
So now I want to make it so that the user can touch one of the actors and drag him around anywhere on screen. I used this tutorial:
That's where the problem is. I CAN drag the actor around, but it seems to mess with the dragging of the camera to the point where I can only drag the actor in the immediate camera view rather than have the camera move around with the actor to any point on the screen.
I'm trying to publish an example on the arcade so you can see it for yourself. I'll embed it on a webpage and post it here once it's finished.
But does anyone know how to work around this? Is there anyway I can make the actor move in tandem with the camera? Thanks! I've only been using Game Salad for about 24 hours haha.
