PSA - with iOS7 cellular download limit raised to 100mb

this is great news, now as long as it's under 100MB people can download over cellular. now to squeeze a few meg out of CAT-ACLYSM, I think it's sitting at 102 or something

There used to be a time where we had to keep our games to below 20mb if we wanted players to be able to download our games/apps whilst out and about using 3G. It then went to 50mb... It's now be raised to 100mb...

So good for our games that are a little hefty...

Back on subject then:

It is cool to know about the new 100mb limit, will help alot of the point and click adventure games that have recently come about as they're often on the larger size due to the amount of high res full screen images.

yea, i was really trying to get CAT-ACLYSM under 50mb, but once I started adding more and more features I quickly blew by that limit. the 100MB limit is still hard to stay under when you have lots of graphic assets, but maybe when sprite sheets are implemented that will help keep sizes down

Just saw this on pocketgamer and somehow missed this elsewhere. Thats what happens when you take a couple months off to look after your kids in between school terms.

Anyway, the 3G/4G limit is doubled to 100MB. That makes life a little easier for bigger builds.

lol, big news always deserves a little merging action Glad about this though, got a game in cocos2d that I just can't get under 54mb, now its no concern
