power of 2 rule

does the power of two rule only apply to IMAGES or to actors that have no images associated with them (i.e. invisible actors)

    Invisible actors can be whatever size you want, for example, I use invisible actors as the ground actor for a platformer and color them green or brown etc. So they can be any size, even greater than 1024.... so I've been told! :)
    I think if you look at the cannonball template game, you'll see that the ground actor they used behind the grass is either not to the power of 2, or is longer than the 1024 maximum size
