None of them roll off the tongue, and several are quite hard to say if you're not used to it. I don't know how one would pronounce Yamrk. Apologies if that's actually a persons name :)

Some of the names are being used. Although you could probably still use them as they might not be registered as companies you might want to try and go for names that aren't being used in the same industry.

A good way to find if a name is used is through a Google search, and search on some of the major app stores.

Fun Fun Games is on the App Store.

At the end of the day, this is a name you're going to be building a brand with so it needs to be one you're 100% set on.

But it was the name of the band first!! (At least, I think it was...)

@LumpApps @KevinCross For interest, a friend/aquaintance of mine called Eric Radcliffe recorded Yazoo's album Upstairs At Eric's in his basement studio in his mother's house about a mile from where I live, back in the early 80's... (Haven't seen Eric for at least 20 years; I wonder what he's up to...)

He told me many moons ago that he recorded Alison Moyet in the kitchen as it had a better natural reverb to it. :-)

Hi @yasoofx To be honest, I'm not a fan of any of your company name suggestions either... maybe you could think of some more dynamic names?

If I asked you to pick your favorite company name from the following, which one would you pick?

    1. Activision
    2. Capcom
    3. Namco
    4. Konami

Now maybe you are familiar with some/all of these and chose a favorite but if you're impartial about it, they all... suck. What terrible names for gaming companies. And yet, those four are among the most successful game development companies of all time.

My point is that the name of your company or "company" since you're 14 years old and your company logo (since that will be the next poll) are very unimportant at this point. Make an amazing game and people WILL know and LOVE your company name even if you call it BestGamesSoGreatIRock or something nonsensical like, I dunno, Rovio.

I know if I wanted to view the company's website the last thing I want to be doing is typing BestGamesSoGreatIRock.com. It also gives the impression the company is arrogant and too far up their own #%$'s! So I disagree that you can go with any company name if you've got a good game.

You'll likely get tired of my suggestions but here's another one: create a complete design for a game and then decide who you need to fill the gaps. For example, if you are great at coding with GameSalad but terrible at music composition, hire or team up with someone who produces music. If you are a talented graphic artist but not very good at using GameSalad, find a coder who can do the work for you. Keep in mind that most people here do not want to get involved in a "profit sharing" system (which means that whatever money the game makes in the App Store gets shared among the team members).

It's much easier and more efficient to have a complete game in mind and then to share that idea with another person to see if you have a good match. Just suggesting a company/team name and asking for volunteers to join is not going to achieve what you're hoping to achieve.

    2¢ and then some ;)
