Hi! I'm a new sprite artist looking for....

someone that's willing to teach me some programming in exchange for me helping them with their game for free ^ ^

I'm not very good yet I've only been doing this for like 2 and a half weeks so far but here's where I'm at right now...

I know Im not very good yet but but if anyone is willing to bear with me as I learn I'd be willing to work for free as long as i get some help learning how to program (so i guess technically not free) I have lots of free time so I'd be able to work on the graphics a lot. I'm using graphics gale atm and all of those were gifs but i also recently learned how to do sprite sheets so i can do those too ^ ^

anyways let me know if you want noob sprite artist in exchange for teaching me some codeing!

    Oh, I've also been playing around a bit with background tiles and drawing whole backgrounds too but I havent finished anything yet to show as an example ^ ^'

    They're not too bad. Better than any sprites I could make. Good luck finding someone to partner up with and learning GameSalad in exchange for your art.

    Before it's too late to edit your first post above, try changing the lines of images to embedded images to save us having to click on each URL. The actual image URL can be found at the left of the screen, under "grab your code".

    Place that URL in an image tag I.e.

    <@img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/w7fluu.jpg">

    You will need to remove the @ sign at the beginning to make it show as an image instead if text

    omg why didnt it work for me!!!! i tryed it and they all came out as those little squares with pictures of image files... let me try one at a time to see if it works.

    oh nvm i see what i did wrong i have to get a different link from the tinypic site...

    GameSalad is a tool for making games without programming with a drag and drop type interface. Seeing as you're here now and you want to create games you should check it out by going to the main site http://www.gamesalad.com, download the tool and give it a spin. You may find you'll be making your own games in no time.

    There's stacks of tutorials and video guides around the net and we're generally a helpful bunch of peeps when you get stuck

    tyty ^ ^ i'll go check that out now. i was looking all day for something like that but couldnt find anything that wasnt to complicated with the codeing stuff.

    Hey @AoiShi, it's def a great start but you are far from good. Please don't take that the wrong way. :) Keep practicing to get better. These things don't just happen over night!

    ill show you a background i am working on i still havent finished it yet tho. and i havent worked yet on making it animated cuz the first frame is not done yet. but if you need backgrounds i can focus more on practicing how to do those ^ ^ and gamesalad codes would be great too as a start for programming but im looking more for help learning java or C# if you could help me with that c:

    tyty that means a lot and i know im not good yet ^ ^ im practicing daily though and trying to cover different styles and mix and match them. ty tho c: i didnt take it the wrong way hehe.
