Jumping?

I'm trying to make a simple platformer game, and I've got the moving left and right covered, but not the jumping. When I press the jump key (space bar, in my case) the player jumps but it doesn't come down until I release the button.. Can somebody help me with this, please?:)

There are enough free jumping templates.
But what you want is an accelerate down in the player
And a rule with
When spacebar is pressed
Do change self.motion.linear.velocity.Y to 200 (or something)

I have several platform game type tutorials at my website, linked in my signature. It sounds like you either need to add Gravity to your scene or like timolapre1998 mentioned above, add an Accelerate Behavior to your player.

Thanks! I managed (I think... ) to fix it. I was afraid the player would just keep drifting upwards!

Can't stress this enough. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE try and do some research before asking for help. Try and show you really want to learn this stuff. There are plenty of tutorials and free templates for what you are asking. There is even a free template you can download from the templates that show up in the GS creator. Sorry if I am seeming like a jerk but we don't mind helping the community if we see you have put in the effort to try and show you really want to learn. Hope you understand!
