Assuming you are working on an iPhone 5 screen size, and assuming you have resolution independence checked.

An iphone 5 screen is 1136 x 640 pixels, so make your images (assuming they are full screen images) 1136 x 640 pixels (@72 ppi).

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

You tile an image by selecting 'tile' in the 'horizontal wrap' and 'vertical wrap' pull down menus in the Graphics attributes.

Thank you that helped. I have another question.
I am having trouble with the images staying in the position that I put them in.
I am working on a game where I have a actor ground and a ice block that sits on the ground.
When I put the image in position and click play the image is off the ground.
I have rearranged them in the layers, and nothing helps. I am working with the windows version.
    Thanks Darlene

It's caused by the way you have the attributes and rules set up.
