That's at least 3 people that have lost all of their work this week. I'm somewhat scared to turn on my laptop now >.<

    Unlucky mate, hopefully it's salvageable

If you do find that the hard drive is busted and you've lost the work, you might be able to get the files from the GameSalad site, and your device if needed. I've mentioned how in some of the other recent posts. It won't contain the original PSD/layered image files but you should be able to get access to the compressed images, and the gameproj file.

Once again this proves that man and cat should not co-exist.

It's the cat-computer-coffee triangle that has caused this, never let the three form an equilateral triangle.

    server at home (via dropbox)
    dropbox online
    timemachine copy
    crashplan copy

    Yep, back up everything, always.

My work exists on my local drive, an external mirrored raid (two cloned disks), Dropbox and in a portable HD I throw in my bag, so I always have a physical copy on me.

Had computer failures, dead HDs, stolen computers and corrupted files and I've never lost a file as far as I can remember.
