Making use of motion

I'm wanting to work on a totally different game for next year and I was wondering if this would possible in GS -

The ability for GS to detect a shake/movement other than touch? So if a user shakes the device, an energy bar could power up(for example)

    @jigglybean

    You should be able to do this with the accelerometer.

    Cool. So that could trigger an event within the game?

    Sure can, you could have an attribute that increases whenever the accelerometer hits -1 or 1 (either end of the 'shake') then once that attribute is above a certain amount it triggers whatever you want it to do . . . . I'm sure there's also a bunch of other ways you can extract a 'shake' from the accelerometer.
