"GameSalad has stopped working"???

Hey all, I downloaded the program on my PC and have been watching the videos to get myself familiar with the program and, even after getting over the differences between the PC version and the Mac version, (or maybe it's an older version used in the videos), I finally found the Dashboard view, Clicked on "Create a New Project" and, while the examples suggested in the video demos are not there, I try to select some other games that seems similar and hit "Load Project". But after a few moments, the screen goes fuzzy or greyed out and over the main program screen, a window pops up stating "GameSalad has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Is there another way to open one of the example programs? Should I just re-install the program?
Any Suggestions appreciated

    I am having the same problem. Did you get it working yet?
