just published to Itunes store but in app purchase is giving me error.

It was working on Ad Hoc and it was approved by ITunes but I have an error saying (In-App Purchase Error - product identifier was not recognized: product_coin5000). It says the same stuff for the others. My game is called Kamikaze Ninja. the in app purchases were approved at the same time as the game. The game was released today also.

I downloaded your game and tried to buy scrolls and got the same result. Did you make one submission wit a universal binary?

I have just submitted my game and I am waiting for approval so I don't know yet if IAP's will work live like they have in Ad Hoc. I made two submissions one for iPhone and one for iPad and made them a group so they could share leaderboards and achievements. When I set it up IAP's it would only accept separate IAP's for consumables the non consumables would give me that message if I tried to give it a different code.

yea I submitted just a universal binary. the words for the product ID is the same also. I have some pictures attached to show it.

this is driving me crazy. I can't figure it out. It was working on sandbox also

Your Product ID has an underscore in it. It can only have numbers and letters.

You might want to have a look at the size of your buttons I had to get out a magnifying glass to read them in my iPhone 4.

yea, I originally made it for the ipad. I guess I'll have to change that with the update. That means I have to resubmit a new binary for the In app purchase huh? that's 7 days. this really blows lol.

    @ colander
but wait, the IAP example in the cookbook uses underscores. Is the cookbook just not updated?

Yeah I just found a mistake in the Android viewer setup in the Cookbook sometimes the information can be out of date. The "?" beside the Product ID field on iTunes Connect is the one to go by. And yes unfortunately submit a new binary.

@ colander k I did the changes. Hopefully that is it :) thank you for taking the time to help me! I really appreciate it :) I'll probably do a new update in a few weeks on the buttons. exam week is coming up here, no time for long updates :/ I do agree with what you say about the buttons though.

And your also getting the weird grey box overlay to the left like a few of us are. (On the IAP)

@colander I've used underscores in all my IAPS in the past. All worked fine. Did you read this somewhere that's now not allowed?

@Doguz l am only going by what it says in the "?" beside the Product ID field on iTunes Connect. It says letters and numbers and typical they don't warn you. If you look at the "?" beside the Leaderboard ID it tells you what special characters you can use.

I haven't tried to submit an app with special characters so I can not be 100% sure but I would say that is the problem. Maybe someone else can confirm it or not.

OK I just tested this with some obscure characters and this is the result. Looks like underscores are OK. I made a point of not including an underscore in my test to try to get an error.

    @ Doguz

yea, im getting a wierd gray box to the left also. :(
so it isn't the underscore than? I don't know what to do :(
  • tahakitantahakitan Member Posts: 102
I just spoke to developer technical support and they said the underscore is acceptable and should not be causing the issue.
  • tahakitantahakitan Member Posts: 102
@Doguz ok, Itunes IAP technical support was correct. it just started working. there is a delay for IAP. i guess the 24 hours upload of the app on Itunes is done in pieces. the game and IAP are loaded separately. glad it was that because I was retesting sandbox and there were no issues lol.

Damn I just took my app offline. Will have to turn it back on now and test.
  • tahakitantahakitan Member Posts: 102
yea turn it back on. they said just wait 24 hours and if it doesnt work than contact them. they will help you troubleshoot it for free :)
