hi there! a GS-newbie here :)

got a first basic question: how can you change the z-depth (drawing order) of actors/images in the scene? i added some characters and want to put a background behind them.

Can´t find properties to change the drawing order so far. Any help really appreciated!

Thanks

each scene has its own layers. there you create new layers and assign actors to different layers and the order of these actors.
double click the scene and on the inspector there are 2 tabs game and scene. click scene and you will see a new menu appear with the name layers.

No, unfortunately. However, you can play around with spawning/destroying in clever ways to achieve something like this. UtopianGames has a template for this that he is selling. It is the one with the ninja going behind and in front of trees.
