more gameplay related features?

just wondering what new features in terms of gameplay we'll be seeing in gamesalad.
save games? a* pathfinding?

    Save games would be awesome.

    Additionally, here are a few other suggestions whose inclusion I'd personally appreciate, and I'm sure a few others would too!

    *Reset game - reset all variables
    *Reset certain variables - reset all variables *except* those listed by user
    *Checkpoint system - allow users to restart from a defined checkpoint if the player is killed
    *High Score Table (local)
    *High Score Table (Internet (web page, Facebook etc) - on iPhone allow comparisons with any of your contacts' scores, as well as complete strangers!)
    *Easy Energy Bar Display
    *Turn based template/rules/ability
    *Return to previous scene - a bit like the old 'GoSub' routine in basic - allows you to go to another scene, do something, then return to the previous scene
    *Allow for iphone functions to be used - I'm sure apple would prefer games to be unique to iPhone - thus access to the functions of an iphone would help - think: Phone contacts, song names/playback in a level, GPS, internet connectivity etc etc

    I'm sure these have already been thought of, and some might even be possible now (I'm new!), but these are my initial thoughts!

    I'd like to see:
    1. Custom collision boundary shapes.
    2. Copy behaviors/attributes and apply to other actors.
    3. Support for SVG and MP3 file formats.
    4. Hide mouse cursor when using mouse for actor movement

    Thank you all for these great suggestions, I invite everyone to continue adding to this list. I will confirm that many of these are in the plans for future updates and hope to roll them out as soon as we are able. Stay tuned for additional updates in the coming weeks.

    I think the reason MP3 isn't supported right now is because if you make a commercial game, you have to pay a fee for using the MP3 format.

    .ogg is free to use, and others have posted about free conversion tools, so this shouldn't be too huge a problem!

    hello gs,

    just throwing my few little requests on the list from my other posts...
    -turn-based networking
    -pathfinding aka node paths or a*
    -joystick support
    -mode 7
    -isometric
    -portrait orientation of game screen (not just landscape)
    -broader browser and platform support...i know, i know...it's coming

    and last but not least...
    -make awesome game button...lol

    Oh, one more thing I noticed!

    Any way to include folders within the inspectors? I've got a bunch of animated explosions that take up around 24 images each. It'd be nice to have them in their own folders under the 'images' tab in the inspector, so I don't have to find where one lot of images end and the next explosion begins.

    Does that makes sense?

    I would love to be able to group actors together to keep things organized. Like previous poster said a folder of sorts. Same for images. So I second his post. Any plans for that? Having to sort through all those actors can be a pain.
