Will there ever be a more complete - manual type - reference for GS.
It appears everything is self taught or from the forums. This is a very inefficient way of learning and does little to advance the production of games for the newbie.
It appears that there is a small group of members who are very advanced in the use of GS yet many still lag behind with grasping the basics.
I would like to personally thank everyone on the forums for their help. Its been very slow going for me.
I would bet that many of us have a number of great ideas for games but still struggle to get them up and running.

and just click on the support section, and follow all of the instructions, thats how I learned
I would read absolutely every article/tutorial in there.
TShirtBooth and weswog have made a bunch of great introductory video tutorials.
Those will definitely get you up to speed.
They might be too advanced for you, but I have some tech demos on my wall that you are free to dig through.
I've also started to make a series of Platformer tutorials as well:

I'm still working on them, but they show some of the basics to start getting up and running in GameSalad.
Read everything you can and ask lots of questions in the forums!
