Is there a good market for trivia apps?

I am thinking of making a trivia app but i do not want to waste my time if there is no market for it please reply!

    There's a huge market for trivial apps (I fixed your thread title) but trivia apps... I wouldn't say there's a ton of potential there but it all depends what you have in mind.

    If you wrote a description for most of the top 20 games on the app store, I doubt you'd have too many people interested in them. But gameplay, graphics, achievements, etc. can add a lot to an otherwise bland description.

    Look at the top free game app and the top paid game app, for example: http://www.apple.com/itunes/charts/paid-apps. I'd never guess those were going to be #1... ever.

    I have a Bible trivia game in the iOS app store that I developed in Flash almost 3 years ago, it still gets a few downloads a week. I'm rewriting it in GS with updated graphics and snappier animation, expect it will do well.

    Only if the concept is new/unique. The last one we released only has 5.1k downloads and it's already on its 3rd and a half month (with minimal local social media advertising).

    But it wasn't really unique in any way, just a better version of an existing one. Earned a couple bucks from iAds. We made it in 3 days, so it's up to you if you think the time and effort you'll pour into your app will be worth it. For us, it was just a weekend project so no loss whatsoever.

    edit: there's a payout threshold for iAds, by the way. If you do manage to earn a few bucks but it's below the threshold, you won't get your money yet (as far as I know).
