After finding out there wasn't a Jelly Splash styled app made with Game Salad yet (that I know of), I decided to make one. :)

I then collaborated with the one and only @Braydon_SFX, and together we came up with a work in progress.

So far we have the completely recycling drop mechanism and the selection mechanic down.

I would like to point out that the current characters are only placement art and will be replaced with original art, when the app is released.

Without further ado checkout our demo video. Feed back is very much appreciated. :)

    Update video coming soon!

To make it more original, what features or elements would you like to see in a game like this? Let us know and we may implement it.

                                                VIDEO UPDATE 0.2!

@PureEpicStudios and I have been busy at work making sure that the file is extremely easy to edit. We wanted to do this because of larger or smaller levels we may build. All you do is drag on some jelly actors, change 1 table value (Which is what you see going on around 0:48 in the vid) and just like that, the grid and jelly's know exactly where to go!

     - New background and grid art!
     - Instant grid size: The grid automatically knows how wide and long it needs to be!
     - New bounciness effect when jelly's fall down.
     - Improved falling mechanic!

Check out the new progress video below!

Looks great, but starting to think this is more of a template then a game.

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

@Jeromy, we are not yet completely sure what we are going to do. Right now our plan is to release it as an app with an original twist.

    Update video coming soon!

I just downloaded a game called Dots (https://itunes.apple.com/US/app/id632285588?mt=8) that uses this game mechanic and I thought it had particularly nice animations/effects. Figured I'd share it with you guys in case you were looking for inspiration...

Anyways, the demos are looking good so far, it'll be fun to see what you make out of it.

    Video Update 0.3!

Josh ( @PureEpicStudios ) and I redid the entire drop mechanic. Before, we were actually checking a lot of data before moving each jelly. This resulted in some lag on older devices. This new bit of code works extremely well and is as smooth as butter on the older devices. You can see how fluid it is in the video below.

Some other things we've added since our last update:
    - Must select 3 or more jelly's to confirm a match
    - Must select adjacent jellys of the same color
    - Deselect previously selected jellys
    - New placement art

We'll have some power-ups working here soon! This is going to be such a fun game when released!

    Thank you for your support!

Point multiplier for extra long matches would be cool. A slight tracer following your finger's path might spice it up too. Looks good.

Yep! That's all to come! The holiday season has set us back on this, but we're still on it!

    Video Update 0.4!

We took a short break over the holidays but are back to working on this game! We just finished the horizontal power up. This power up destroys en entire row when used.
The video is a bit laggy, but know that this runs very smooth.

Take a look at the video below:
