Android app shows splash screen then closes.

I put a game on the Google App Store and it will load the splash screen and then it just closes.
I bought a cheap Concord phone so I can test android apps and am wondering if that is the culprit.

I think this because about a dozen people have bought the game and they did not request a refund. I would think that if the game didn't load, the customer would immediately hit the refund button, or at least post the issue in a rating.

So, has anyone else heard of GS games not running on certain android phones? Or am I doing something wrong?
The phone is a Tmobile Concord, Android version 2.3.7

There is something up with Android publishing, I am almost certain. An app of mine which was working fine before, now keeps exiting after a recent update. I didn't add any new code, just new graphics.

I've published it again and Amazon have accepted the app this morning, so I suggest trying again. The phone shouldn't matter, it all depends if you're app works on certain Android versions.

Note - some features - like swipe may not work on older versions of Android

Thanks. Yesterday I published another app to google and it too doesn't work for me.
I guess I should have more than one test device for android.

If you did that, you'd be swamped in testing devices. I suggest you look at your SDK and see if there's any updates. Importantly, make sure you're supporting that version of Android.

But like I said, I think there have been issues with Android and apps exiting through GS because the one I had problems with all last week, is now fine and I did nothing but upload it again and re-assign the apk files.

@jigglybean - I am new to this so I downloaded and installed the SDK less than a week ago.

You say I need to make sure I am supporting that version of Android...
How would I know what versions the game is supported on?

    Thanks.

Just install all the android api versions. The SDK manager will show you what you do/dont have. If you're not sure, google it and a guide will appear for developer.android

I didn't even know about the manager. Most everything was unchecked in there. I am changing that now. Thank you.

Well, I updated with all the new stuff in the SDK and uploaded a new APK. Waited for the update and it's still performing the same. Hopefully not too many of my customers have this issue.

Just tested the app on a Samsung Galaxy Blaze with Android 4.0.4 and it works.
I guess that's what I get for buying the cheapest tester phone I could find. Time for a new test device.
