Confirm this for me

Ok so I'm starting a new game and I read different things about iPad sizes. Some say 1024 x whatever, and some say double which is 2048 x whatever. I just want to know, if I'm about to open Photoshop and get started. Exactly what size should I start in?

2048x1536 for Retina devices. 1024x768 is scene, and full screen actors' sizes in GS.

when you import your art (as long as you have RI checked), it will automatically use the higher resolution artwork when it's on a retina device.

depends on the option you choose. if you choose the resolution of independence for the serious iPad resolution of 2048x1536, and if you choose the resolution of independence would be the 1024x768 resolution.
