So what does this mean for GS creator users? isnt all this backend stuff taken care of by Gamesalad and implemented in their releases?

that means GameSalad Users must optimize their games for IOS 7, before they submit their games to the App Store.

Oh yes your comment has answered the premise of my original question to a "T" You left no stone un-turned. You released all doubt and possible confusion to what the phrase "Optimized for ios 7" defines. Thank you for that bit of wisdom. It will help future readers of this post to better themselves as Gamesalad Creator Users. It will reduce the amount of people who come back later wanting to know what Apple meant when their app was rejected due to iOS 7 optimization.

I salute you on your attempt to better the GS Community.

I will make my attempt a lil more idiot proof and rephrase my question.

In regards to GameSalad users. What are we not doing now that we need to do to be optimized for iOS 7? Are these changes thing that the user needs to make in the creator rules and attributes use. Or is the optimization portion of this taken care of by GS Publishings website and backend coding? What do I as a user do? Give me a example of a change one would make in the creation process.

Update to the latest xcode and publish using 0.10.4.1 (or newer), that's it.

For GS users, there is nothing to worry about. If you are doing a game, the design is the game's design, you generally don't take any cues from the OS. On the other hand, if you are doing a different kind of app, there are things that might look strange nowadays, on iOS 7 -- for example, 1Password still uses the iOS 6 keyboard and menu styles. That is what Apple wants unified. The core OS experience being streamlined.
