Hey,

I have been wanting to buy some extra RAM for my 2.4ghz 2007 White Macbook and looking at the prices on apples site I thought maybe somewhere else (£200)

So I was looking around on eBay and found these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400118690154&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1411wt_941

Would these work in my Macbook as I looked at the info in About This Mac and it says I have 2GB 667 mhz DDR2 SDRAM and the one on ebay says Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM
So it's kinda the same type

Any advice would be helpful

Thanks,
Vmlweb

Most motherboards only support one speed. I'm pretty sure that is the case for all/most modern Macs.

I didn't see a 2.4ghz from 2007, but here is the tech specs support page from apple's website for the 2007 macbook: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP12

It lists the ram type as: 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300)

Ah I was wrong, it's the early 2008 I have
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP5

    So this
    1GB (two 512MB SO-DIMMs) or 2GB (two 1GB SO-DIMMs) of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 4GB

And I have to get one that is 667MHz?

Considering you're looking at eBay for your purchases, I would suggest getting a perfect match from the start, or you'll be dealing with the hassle of a return policy scenario with a small-time online retailer or individual.

Theoretically, faster memory would simply slow down to match the bus speed, and the opposite is incompatible (can't put 667MHz memory into a machine requiring 800MHz). But, as things are designed for a particular purpose, I reiterate that it's best to get real 667MHz memory.

i got my ram upgrade from this site
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple/memory/

go to the apple icon on the top left and choose "about this mac"
if it says 667 MHz, get a 667 MHz ram.

I'm still not sure what type of macbook I have

    White 13.3 Inch
    2.4Ghz
2Gb 667MHz RAM - And it says on the box (Max 4GB)

I was looking there and mine doesn't seem to be there
