Hello, I am looking to create a spinning ball/globe/earth sort of thing, this will be on the home screen and when you tap it, it will bounce a little bit and fly off the screen and it will go to the next scene. I don't know how easy it will be or if it is even possible but I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

If you are wanting something to appear as a three-dimensional spinning object, then you need to draw each frame of the animation and use the animate behavior to display the frames in order and in a loop.

Otherwise, you could use the rotate behavior, if you don't want the 3d spinning like tatiang said

Nice globe. I assume you're just moving a background behind a cover image. Won't really work for a bouncing ball, though. Or maybe it would if the ball is "bouncing" because of movement rules and not actual physics.

To get it to work with a bouncing ball, all you'd really have to do is constrain the mask (that masks the scrolling earth image) to a ball, as the ball bounces the mask (and earth image) will follow.

Hmm, yes that would work. :)

It'd be a bit convoluted but it would, in theory, work, but I think the better solution would be the one you mention in your first post . . . draw (or render) each frame and use the animate behavior to play the animation.

    Here's (a rather boring) example mask locked to a ball . . .

And here's a quick render of a 120 frame image sequence for all to use:

My spinning Earth touched and sent offscreen, it's also a 3D render 145 frames the example file is below your all welcome to use the earth images in your games if you want. it's not perfect it's one of the first animations I ever rendered. oops I forgot to make it bounce a little oh well you can do that yourself.. ;)
