I just watched this video, youtube.com/watch?v=EK6vhap6Kas, with my 8-year-old son who is dying to learn how to make video games for his iPod Touch. We really want to sit down and go thru this video and build the game along side watching it. But where do we get the images and sounds used in this demo? I poked around but couldn't find them. I hope I just missed it and some kind soul will point me to the right place. Thanks!

Thad

The project file may have been created just for the video or it may be for sale as a template. Is there any indication in the video of who made the file or the video? If not, where did you find the video? Perhaps you can ask there or on te YouTube channel.

Some game art is included with purchase of a template and some is not. It depends on the template and the seller.

If you want to make the game you can create your own art.

I teach game design with GameSalad to 4th-8th graders and we often use art from clker.com (free, public domain). You might search there if you don't have alternatives.

I've produced a few full game tutorials for gamedev.tutsplus.com, an Asteroids, Angry Birds, and Platformer game with assets. They are linked from the tutorial section of my website, linked in my signature below.

Sorry, friends. I thought I had gotten to the video from a page somewhere on GameSalad.com and that it was an official part of their online content. But now I can't figure out how I did find that video, so maybe my assumption that it was made by someone officially connected to GameSalad was not correct.

I've contacted the poster of the YouTube video. If I get a response, I'll share it here.

I'll take a look at the things mentioned in the comments so far too.

    Thanks, all!
