New Mac Book...Suggestions?

Time to update to a new Mac...this one runs GS so very slowly. I'm going to get a new MacBook and if I had the $$ I'd go all out but... So what would you recommend have that will run GS smoothly and room to grow?

    The 2012 models (Pro and Air) should be just fine. The 2013 Air would be even better since it's a bit more powerful for just a couple bucks more (plus you can't get the old one anyways without resorting to 2nd hand or possibly refurbished).

    Will you really just be using the new unit just for GS? If you have the cash, get the Retina Pro (the one with the NVIDIA card) so you can do way more than just game development (e.g. playing games at high graphics, video-editing, faster 3D modelling).

    The new Mac Pro is pretty sweet, too. But you'd be tied down to your desk and can't bring it to the coffee shop / parking lot / park bench.

    Anyway the Retina Macbook Pro (not just the souped-up model) is my bet and if you don't quite have the budget, start looking for a refurb unit! :)
