some trouble using photoshop to create images for gamesalad

Hi, I am new to this. I imported images from photoshop to gamesalad. However, my problem is all the images are inside a square or rectangle shaped box, I think this is because that is how photoshop works, i.e., the window in photoshop is always a square or rectangle. For example, when I input a grey mouse onto a black background scene in gamesalad, the mouse will have white space around it. and it looks like the grey mouse is inside a white box. I hope I explained my problems well and hope someone can help me. Thanks!

In Photoshop make sure your grey mouse has a transparent background.
