Converting app for Mac Store

What will it take to make an iPhone app work on the Mac Store?
Will I need to change all my " touch is pressed" actions to mouse click?
How about the size? If the app is built in portrait mode, how will this be displayed on a Mac?
Thank you in advance.

    Yes you shoukd create keyboard presses...this is oretty simple because everywhere you use a touch attribute you can create a mouse click if thats whats required or possibly even a keyboard press Be sure to change "ALL to ANY" under your rule for such attribute. Also you def want to resize you game to a mac screen size. I personally use 1152x720....this will be able to be seen full screen (even scaled on macbooks ) and look great....so how do you resize it you might ask? Deep Blue Apps has an excellent project resize tool...I think its even free. Resize to Mac with that tool and then go in and adjust your scene size and camera to 1152x720...you may have to tweek certain things of your gane such as soecific pixcels you have things spawn...but for the most part it works globally across your game.

    Thank you. I'll go check out the resizer. Looks like I have quite a chore ahead of me but I'm curious about the Mac Store so I'm going to jump in. Thanks again.

    I have so many actors moving here and there depending on screen size, that I might need to start from square 1... Can you test your adhoc on a macbook?

    I've never had an issue with resizing from iPhone or ipad to Mac with the resizer....it even has an option for scaling...which I use 2x. All thing seem to spawn in the right spots...and no white screens.

    Apparently the resizer on DBA is no longer available. They have a trial for download but it is only for example and does not have Mac resizing features.

    Really? Why would they take it out ?

    As far as "adhoc" testing on macbook....your not required to sign an app for mac with a profile. You simply publish...and it generates an app...when it asks you to sign....in the upper right of publish screen just download unsigned app...bing. Its a complete app ready to test, or sell individually. Be sure to click box area to run full screen before you publish.

    And....maybe GShelper has a resizing tool...you might contact them.

    I cant stand the whole "universal build" BS. Resolution Independence is for Retina Display stuff. I have given up on UB completely until GS finds a solution or by GODs grace he himself makes a tutorial explaining in great detail and provides a source file to download. I build for iPad and Mac now and nothing else.

    Hey @Thunder_Child
    I see you mention to check the box so it runs full screen.
    I just ran across a GS app on the Mac Store and it runs in a small window. Basically like the old school Minesweeper game runs. It appears to run on the Mac at the iphone size and ratio. Is this an option? Thanks.

    @Thunder_Child
    So I can submit a mac app with regular iPhone resolution as long as I don't choose the full screen option?

    According to the current Mac app store review guidlines and human interface guidelines documents....Id say push it through and see if it gets rejected. Personally I think it will pass, however they call it a living document....which means...if they dont like it they will reject it. And as I said before. Just do a test publish...download app unsigned in full screen and see how it looks. If you dont like it...publish without full screen and see how it looks. You can do this all yourself...and you should. Put that app through every test you can.
