Doubling image size

I read that doubling your image size and making them divisible by 4 keeps your pictures from becoming blurry.

Does this apply to iPad projects as well?

Yes. Any project you do with the Retina Images option turned on need them to be that way. (since most iPads are retina displays)

If your images are not already at the size they need to be then doubling their size (for instance in Photoshop) won't help.

Hi @jesse75 Yes, as @Socks says, if you need to enlarge tour images you're not going to get good results at all... i.e reducing image size will always retain res. but enlarging from stat size won't and you'll lose quality.

All is not lost though, there are programs specifically made for enlarging pictures (special algorithms are used to retain quality - they're clever stuff...)

Here's a couple of prigs to do that: enlarging section in Perfect Photo Suite, http://www.stoik.com/products/photo/STOIK-Smart-Resizer/ , http://reshade.com , etc I'm sure there's plenty more online some probably free.
