At the moment no, not possible.

You'd have to put everyone song in the game as there's no streaming of audio…

maybe at a push you could use the new GET / SEND url tools in the nightly build available to pros to produce a table which the users could spin through… They could choose a song and then use the use browser inside your GS game to take them to a URL (based on the song they chose) where you have the song that is then played. But the software certainly isn't built with that sort of process in mind.

Spotify have to make a license agreement for every single song. They pay for the right to use each one. If you made an app like Spotify and didn't enter into contractual agreements with the rights holders, you'd find yourself in court being sued for, most likely, millions of dollars.

I'm afraid to say that such an app is out of the reach of GameSalad, and is entirely impossible unless you have a lot of funding behind you. A lot.

It just seemed abit far fetched to think spotify have made contracts and paid every single singer they use on there

LOL, really?! It's far fetched that a business actually pays the artists its making money from?

No offense but that is what is wrong with the creative industry, people don't seem to think we deserve to get paid!

    Check this out:
    https://www.spotify.com/us/about-us/labels/

Spotify reaches agreements with the major labels, which gives them access to the entire labels catalog

I didn't mean it like that , I meant there's hundreds of thousands of artists on there , it's far fetched that they got in touch with every single one of them

Almost all major artists are managed by a small handful of labels, and those labels are owned by an even smaller handful of corporations. Spotify probably got 95% of their catalogue in a half dozen deals.
