Feature on Touch Arcade sales data

A friend of mine has been kind enough to share his sales data after a feature on TA.

His sales were down to 0 then the feature on TA happened he sold 165 units, next day 38.

I was so happy that he got a feature but very disappointed with those figures.

Another coder friend had a banner on TA that cost over $1k and that resulted in 0 sales :( so maybe TA isn't the bee all and end all i thought it was.

Thought i'd share.

    Thanks for sharing. Its great to be featured and have a review, personally though, i would never pay for a banner just for the simple factor i never really look or click on them! The only ones i really tend to ever pay attention to are the ones on the app store. Thats just me personally though

    You cant market on just one website and succeed. And it takes more than one review. There's a reason there are advertising firms.

    It needs to be a meticulous, coordinated effort that starts long before you submit your app.

    If you guys do nothing else, you should lurk the TA developers section on the forums and just read. A lot of big name and successful developers there.
