A Tower Defense demo with NO global variables

This is simply a demo to show of how you could go about making a tower defense game. Each tower actor is a rotating field of vision, that when it collides with an enemy begins firing. The enemy's image is composed of rapidly appearing and disappearing particles, and they work pretty well, actually.
Complex animations would be tough (not impossible, tough), but I've never seen a TD game really need complicated tower animations.
Let me know what you think! I know of several ways it could be improved, but I was eager to show everyone

I may pull out my mactop at work for this one!
I used a similar concept in an attempt to create a drop shadow on an actor. Still working out the kinks on mine though...
And given how requested tower defense games were on this site, I was kind of surprised to see so few people responding to it
