So this old thread was brought to my attention from a GS email notification. I looked at it and couldn't help but laugh. It shows just how full of s**t SaladStraightShooter was.

In all seriousness though, the GS team should take a hard look at that one. That is a perfect example as to why you should listen to your community and their concerns.

Makes him look like a fool in hindsight doesn't it?
GS team you have been doing a great job. It is always good to glimpse back at past mistakes so as to not repeat them. Before making deals that "make sense", take off the greed blinders and actually check up on it. Seriously the Mobclix fiasco could have been avoided by listening to our concerns or even taking 10 minutes to Google them. This whole problem could have been avoided and we could have had a solid mutli-platform ad network in last year. You should consider making deals that actually benefit your community. I get that you need to make money in other ways, but you have no business if your community abandons it because you cease listening to us. Emphasize your earnings through your community first and outside companies second. If you want GS to be the go to development tool, building in tools the community wants will get you there. Your hubris and lack of concern for your community would be your downfall.
Other failed experiments:
KiiP
Playhaven (less so than Mobclix and KiiP)
It's good for GS to see their past mistakes or features that they have ignored for far to long. I get that they are starting to work on some of these now, but it is hearsay until I see something physical at this point. How long ago were we going to get custom fonts? List some past mistakes of GS or features they have ignored for ages.
