TIMER/SCORE DOESN'T STOP

Hey, so pretty new to gamesald.
I have my initial scene where i have a timer that is counting a score of 10 every 0.5secs as my actor travels along.
When my actor dies, it goes to an end of level scene. With a final score on.
Only problem is the final score keeps going up as the timer is carrying on somehow after my actor is destroyed.
Any ideas?

Is it possible your actor with the timer behavior is on the end of level scene? You can check by looking at the Layers tab and opening all of the layers to view the actors that have been placed on the scene.
Are you using a Change Scene behavior to go to the end of level scene?
What happens if you create a new blank scene and set it up again to display the score?
