Hi,

Just would like to thank codewizard, fryingbaconstudios, and others for their contributions in making Game-Salad Creator better, and thank you for resolving the issues I was having in upgrading to Pro. I know that it's been a rough past few months for the GameSalad community, but instead of focusing on the negative aspects of things, we should focus on the positive things that GameSalad Creator offers. Myself, I was starting to get a little frustrated, but then I just heard that little voice, that said patience, my son......For others who find themselves without a response, may I suggest, you look in the forums for answers, watch videos, like t-shirtbooth videos, frying bacon studios videos, etc or just be patient.......Finally, God Bless everyone....

Sincerely,

Sunday

Glad you're continuing on your gamesalad journey. Glad the videos have helped. Cheers

Yes, I too thank them as their contributions have resulted in Game Salad getting this far and this good. Eventually, Game Maker will be as refined as Photoshop with refined actions and luxurious commands that will make game creation a smooth process.

Without these guys Gamesalad would be a dark place. Without a doubt these forums & the active users make the whole gamesalad experience a dream.

You're very welcome. This forum has a great bunch of Veteran developers who give generously of their time. If new users think they need patience, try having to answer the same questions for years on end over and over and over....lol.. We do it because we have a passion for game making and this software. We want GS to succeed and so we do what we can to help with that goal.

    Veteran developers @Tatiang @Braydon_SFX @jonmulcahy @lumpApps @Socks @tenrdrmer @uptimistik @deepblueapps @slickzero @gyroscope @Rthurman

I might have missed a few but these guys are always here day in day out for years now. If you check answers to a post, most likely 80% of the time, it will be one of these people. Most people don't ever stick with GS as long as these people because for most making a game is an impulse thing and not a dedicated passion. These guys do the hard work, study and effort to have made themselves knowledgable.

Thanks, @FryingBaconStudios... right back at you. :)

I do give a lot of my time and energy to helping the community I also enjoy learning from people here, including the list of folks you mentioned. It's amazing what collective intelligence can achieve sometimes.

This is the first forum I've been on where there are no flame wars, arguments, or any negative stuff that I've seen elsewhere. Everybody here is so different from the usual kind of people I normally encounter on the net.

@Franto It is indeed a unique community from what I've seen elsewhere, including another forum that I moderated before this one. People are helpful, interested and interesting, and tend to "pay it forward."

And though we moderators occasionally take heat for "stifling free speech" or "taking sides," a lot of the credit goes to the handful of volunteers who keep things in order. It helps that the moderators are also contributors, game developers, etc. and have a personal stake in making this a great place to be.

@Tatiang I agree with all that you said. This truly is a remarkable place.

Speaking of which, so much exposure to bad grammar and slang over the course of a few years on the internet really affected my vocabulary, thinking, and writing{English was/use to be my best academic subject back in high school}. It's no joke when they say you are what you eat in any form{visually, mentally, literally, etc.} Thankfully, this forum has quite the abundance of intelligent discussions and proper english.

It is a very supportive community, it still surprises me the generosity that people have in providing help / templates / assets.

Ah yes the days of the BBS and these kids today think they invented messaging shorthand...lol

Remember the term flamer? Now they call it a troll. Ah those were the days we longed to post images and get away from text now everyone is into text..lol

Definitely a lot of love going on in here..

Having such an active, generally upbeat, funny, intelligent and helpful forum community has a lot to with why I still come back time and time again.

We all get frustrated at times by a game breaking bug, delayed or cancelled feature releases, lack of communication, lack of custom frogs and more but we stick around because we know this software is good and is hopefully on a path to greatness.

Thanks to all those that have made the countless free tutorial videos and shared hints, maths tips, witty sarcasm and endless Flappy Bird conversation.
