Hello

Hello All,

Just joined this forum to get back to doing what I love. I originally started creating games/worlds when Quake3 was popular using their QuakeEngine. However, I got away from that to focus more on business and programming. However, I always loved the idea of making video games.

So, now I am back and ready to learn how to make games for mobile devices. I've been away a long time, so any pointers or tips would be great. At this point I am a total beginner!

Cheers!
Meat

    Welcome!

    I recommend a BIG mug of tea and a wade through this thread:

    http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/52494/spare-code-dump-it-here/p1

    Very useful, and a real example of people just sharing knowledge :)

    Alternatively, if you get stuck, try the 'search' function of the forum (or through google - e.g. "How to make a new level site: gamesalad"). It's not perfect, but will certainly help!

    Finally, I give you the advice passed on from my greek ancestors:

    1. Don't get lost or killed.
    2. Don't go changing.

    QS =D

    Hi, and welcome also! Best of luck with all your game making.

    There's a useful manual too, well worth going through if you're new to GameSalad... you can download a copy via the Help button at the top of this web page.

    Thank you everyone! I appreciate the pointers! Already watched a few tutorials and everything seems pretty straight forward especially with my programming background.

    Is there a spot for collaboration or to hire game makers? I do a lot of marketing and promotion now, so the idea of teaming up with the right people would be appealing to me.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!
