I've got a logic bug in a timer

I am using a timer in a rule for a slideshow. There are six images and each image has a 1 second fade in, a three second view, and a one second fade out. Therefore the timer is for every 5 seconds. Rule handles the cycling of the images from 1-2-3-4-5-6-1-2-3-4-5-6, etc...
The logic issue is when it first starts up the first image is never displayed, the process starts with the second image. This makes an annoying 5 seconds of blank out, followed by the normal cycling.
Can anyone help as to why the glitsch at the startup?
I appreciate all suggestions...
Thanks!
