Apple's web service operation was not successful.

Hi there,

I have just tried to upload my application through Application Loader yet received the attached error.

Any clues as to what has gone wrong?

Im running OSX 10.8.4, Application 2.9 and Xcode 5.0.2 (if any of those make any difference!)

Thanks.

Would like to add, i've just tried building this using both Gamesalad 10.4.1 beta and the daily creator (0.0.242) - both end up with the same error.

its both when we did and update on the web publishing side for the custom loading wheels we accidentally broke the publishing server. We are testing a fix right now.

Uh oh. I tried re-generating and signing my app last night (with the same distribution provisioning profile I always use for Ad-Hoc) and I am still receiving errors. See attachments, including the verbose view and activity window. Please help! :-/

Also attaching screenshots to show consistency between my generated app in GameSalad and in iTunes Connect... Am I missing something? I am able to successfully generate, sign, and run Ad Hoc builds, and the form data are consistent. Yet when I go to the app loader I get all of these errors... Let me know what you guys think.

Just want to make sure you have all you need to try and help effectively... on that 4th error, the rabbit hole goes deeper. Check this out: I actually have an ID that contains "B4W3X94F7K", but its not related to this build at all (Since I am using com.bleistern.dotdefender) see attached visual of my list of IDs in Apple Developer.

Been awhile since uploading a game but does that one screen show services like passbook, icloud and push notifications as active? Did you activate these when you set up your distribution profile? I would think you can't since GS doesn't support these - just a thought.

Thanks, @SingleSparq‌ could be a good point... but considering the scope of the error messages, do you think this is the true cause? I mean, my understanding has always been that the profiles can open the door to those features, and that if your app simply didn't incorporate them, oh well... No? Couldn't find anything in the Cookbook pertaining to supported features via Provisioning Profiles...

But when you created the certificate in Apple dev site, did you enable those things? (I only enable what's being used usually GameCenter and IAP.) I would think (and I could be wrong) if they are enabled then Apple expects them in the code when uploaded and since GS doesn't support those things it can't incorporate in the code. Best (if you did enable them) to edit the game certificate only turning on the ones used and download certificate again to use.

@SingleSparq‌ Seems like a solid best practice. Will investigate ASAP. In the meantime, if someone from the GS team could take a look, it would mean a lot to me.

I had this problem last night and i got it to work

    heres what i did

i re generated and downloaded my certificates for distribution using apple and request it from keychain and download ect
then i made another distribution provisioning profile for my app same bundle id ext but rename it dotdefender1 so you don't get confused when uploading with game salad later select the new certificate you downloaded tho and generate it and download it drag into Xcode ect so you have all new certificates and provisioning profiles on your computer.

now re publish with gs selecting the new provisioning profile you made dot defender1 and whoallaaa

bit long winded but worked for me i spent 2 days trying to figure it out then this seemed to work hope it helps

oh i forgot to mention Key chain didn't seem to like dragging in the certificates so go to file import and select the certificate this seemed to work ;)

@zyptek‌ Sweet! I've been tied up in testing all week, but as soon as I get around to it I will try this. Glad it wasn't just me having this challenge. Darn provisioning profiles and certs... I'll just have to try and create clean ones as you suggest. Thanks a ton!
