Ipad rotate question

Hello GS'ers,

I was wondering how to properly do the iPad rotation for Gamesalad? I know in the scene, just select the rotation, but what I mean is how do you create a game say in Landscape, and with all the actors set up in the scene for Landscape. When the ipad is rotated to Portrait, my actors and scene don't change accordingly. Do I have to recreate the scene, and when the ipad is rotate, it goes to a different scene (if so, wouldn't that start the scene over)? Sorry, I know, this is a dumb question, but I can't figure out how to do it at all. So any help would be great. Thank you.

If your creating a Landscape only game then you don't need it to work in portrait mode, just make the game landscape and make sure you set the scene to rotate Landscape Left and Landscape right, that way the ipad will handle the rotation for you. That will be enough to satisfy Apple, as it only needs to work in both landscape or both portrait, not all 4!

Saying that it is possible to have your app go in all 4 rotations but you will have to come up with some clever maths to move objects like the score and joystick positions etc, it is possible in gamesalad, but thinking about it makes my head hurt!

    Good luck

Ok, that really cleared things up. I was under the impression that your game had to rotate to all 4 views. Thank you for that information.
